In the Fall of 2015 we hired Dan and his team to finish our basement. Our initial contractor hired for the job cancelled on us. Dan came to us through a referral - although already busy- Dan very quickly stepped in took control of the job and started the project.

Awhile back, we had this gentleman renovate our upstairs bathroom. We got his name from a nearby hardware store while shopping for a new bathroom vanity. The store manager highly recommended this contractor to us as he had done quite a bit of work through them for a group advocating for the physically challenged. He excelled at installing kitchen and bathrooms (including for physically challenged people) and was always their first call for such projects. Anyway, we liked his easygoing personality and he provided many pictures of previous work done.
When he commenced our bathroom work, he was very meticulous about it and made sure to clean up the area at the end of each day. He gutted the upstairs bathroom and put in all fixtures, tiling and flooring. He paints beautifully and carefully to top off the job.
We are pleased to recommend this contractor to anyone wanting quality home renovation work done promptly and at reasonable cost.
The finished result was beautiful.

We engaged Mr. Dan Barrette, to carry out renovations in our condominium in 2012 and to act as general contractor for the project. Dan's creativity was a great asset to the project: he had numerous excellent suggestions which have made our space much more enjoyable. Dan also works well with others. He cooperated smoothly with our interior decorator and the security staff of our condominium appreciated his regard for the building's regulations and cleanliness.
Dan arranged for removal of our original flooring and kitchen and coordinated their replacement. In addition, he removed the stippling from all ceilings and restored them to their original smooth finish. Dan also arranged and supervised installation of crown moulding in all rooms, and the necessary electrical changes we made. Mr. Barrette also replaced baseboards and painted the entire space as well. His work with tile and as a painter is outstanding.
This work has been carried out to our complete satisfaction. The project was completed within the agreed budget. Mr. Barrette's attention to detail and quality of finish are excellent. He is a cheerful, trustworthy person to work with and has a solid, practical grasp of the renovation process.
We unreservedly recommend Dan for renovation or new construction projects, and would be happy to provide further details on request.

Dan took our vague concept of 'modernizing' our basement and made it a reality with a top to bottom refresh .... new fireplace, tiles, flooring, walls, electrical, stairs, shelving.
Our room went from the late '60's, to a room we are now proud to have people over to see.
Dan took the time to fix any unexpected surprises, even those that wouldn't necessarily pose a problem in the future, so that everything was perfect.

Daniel Barrette has completed 3 weeks of work in our home. Daniel has completed a full renovation of our main bathroom. A fully handicapped bathroom has been installed to include a barrier free shower; our bathroom is now fully accessible. Powder Room Renovation
It has been a pleasure to have you in our home to handle the renovation of our powder room and we are pleased to recommend you to anyone wanting similar work performed.
We especially appreciated the fact that nothing was too difficult or frustrating to you - as can often be the case with renovations where there always seems to be some unknown factor. Moreover, it was a treat to have one person competently handle carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. One of the great barriers to doing this kind of work is finding someone trustworthy to do the various tasks required to complete the job so getting all of these skills in one cheerful person was a real bonus. And, everything was completed on schedule and on budget.
I was impressed with the care you took to get everything "right". I think the fact that you aligned all four screws on a switch plate in the same direction says a lot about your attention to detail!
